AGM 2023 National Botanic Garden of Wales



The 2023 AGM is hosted by the Monmouth and Gwent branch

AGM Saturday 30th September,
10.30 am
in the Theatre National Botanic Garden of Wales
Llanarthne, Carmarthenshire SA32 8HN

Speaker Dr Lucy Sutherland, Director of NBGW

Members are asked to park in the car park using the Corporate Entrance (NOT the Visitor Car Park) signposted from the B4310.
Coffee will be available on arrival.

Lunch will be served in the Theatre

2.00 pm Members are invited to join the following tours after lunch:

A  the restored lake landscape for more able members (sturdy footwear required for a walk of approximately 1 hr and 30 minutes).
B  the Glasshouse/Walled Garden. 

Knowlegable members will be on hand to help (Buggies can be booked for the Glasshouse and walled gardens). 

4.00 pm Tea will be served from the Theatre entrance
Members are free to enjoy the gardens open until 6.00 pm


Friday 29th September 6.00 – 7.30 pm Court Henry, Dryslwyn, Carmarthen, SA32 8RU
The AGM weekend will begin with a drinks reception kindly hosted by Tom and Willa Lloyd
If fine, drinks will be in the garden otherwise in the house. Numbers are restricted so tickets will be issued on a first come first served basis.

Sunday 1st October Aberglasney Gardens, Llangathen, Carmarthen SA32 8QH.
coffee served from 10.00 am
10.30 am Welcome by Jim Stribling, Director of Operations, Aberglasney.
This will be followed by a tour of the gardens with James Latham, Head Gardener.
As the catering facilities cannot cater for large numbers lunch needs to be booked in advanced and will be held in two sittings.
