A Talk on the Heritage Seed Library by Adam Alexander
Adam will talk about the importance of re-discovering and protecting our cultural relationship with what we grow and how the ephemeral heritage of food is as important as the more visible permanent structures of our culture. The talk is illustrated and highly anecdotal.
Adam will also bring along seed for members to purchase.

Thursday 11 April  The Branch AGM at The Corner House, 6 Carmarthen Street, Llandeilo at 4.30pm.

Saturday 23 March  Talk by Adam Alexander, Garden Organic, formerly known as the Henry Doubleday Research Association. Adam works with the Heritage Seed Bank. He will talk about the importance of re-discovering and protecting our cultural relationship with what we grow and how the ephemeral heritage of food is as important as the more visible permanent structures of our culture.  He will illustrate the talk with examples he has come across in his travels as a seed detective. The talk is illustrated and highly anecdotal. He will also bring along seed for members to purchase. 2pm, Carmarthenshire Museum, Abergwili.

Saturday 25  May  An opportunity to meet WHGT’s new president Stephen Lacey. Stephen will give a brief talk, followed by a tour of the grounds of the Bishop’s Palace with Piers Lunt, Head Gardener. 2pm Carmarthenshire Museum, Abergwili.
